WIP (Work in Progress) Wednesday: Finishing those Unfinished Quilts

If you're anything like me, you probably have lots of unfinished quilts put away somewhere patiently waiting for their moment to shine.

We all have those quilts we started with enthusiasm, only to put it aside later for a new quilt that catches our eye.  It's OK.

I have an idea.

Drumroll please...WIP Wednesday!

WIP Wednesday?

Yes.  It's the day I picked to work on my Works In Progress (WIPs) and give them a little Quilty love.

Starting this Wednesday, I'll be sharing my current WIP quilt with you here. You'll get to see the fabrics I'm using and take a look at where I'm at with it.

Why don't you join me?

Get ready.  Dust off that unfinished quilt, take a few pictures, and share them with us.

Why Wednesday?

Well, it's right in the middle of the week – the perfect time to take a breather from your busy schedule for some much needed slow stitching therapy.

So add this to your calendar and get ready to make Wednesdays the highlight of your quilty week!

Today's Peek: My Current WIP Quilt

Here's one of the 8" English Paper Pieced Rose blocks I made using scraps from a previous quilt in the Bonheur de Jour fabric line from Moda.

I used 1" fusible EPP shapes that don't need to be removed. These are a complete game changer! It saves so much time!

What have you been working on?  Let us know in the comments!

Want to work on the same block with me? I'm offering a free Cricut friendly svg cut file of the shapes in today's WIP that also includes fabric templates.

This  is an 8" English Paper Pieced Rose block. Don't have a Cricut or any other cutting machine? No problem.  To get the fusible shapes, use the links below to buy them here on my website.

I'm using 1" fusible shapes rather than card stock. To make it, you'll need (1) hexagon, (18) half hexagons, (24) equilateral triangles, and (6) 60-degree diamonds

Get my free Cricut friendly svg cut file for this block.

Happy quilting!

Wendy
